Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage Konzul uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Konzul keeps this deliberately small: we do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell data to third parties.
1. Strictly necessary (authentication and security)
These are required for the service to function and cannot be switched off from inside the app. Turning them off in your browser will prevent you from signing in.
- Session token — stores your signed-in session so you are not asked to log in on every page. Set when you sign in, cleared when you sign out or after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- Security tokens — short-lived values used to protect sign-in, password reset and OAuth flows against misuse.
2. Preferences
Small values that remember your choices inside the app, such as your last selected practice level or whether you have dismissed an informational notice. These persist in your browser until you clear site data.
3. Analytics
We use only aggregated, privacy-preserving product analytics to understand which pages and features are used and where errors occur. We do not use analytics cookies to build advertising profiles, we do not run cross-site tracking, and we do not share analytics data with advertising networks. If we ever introduce analytics that require consent, we will ask for it before setting them.
4. Payment provider cookies
When you start a checkout, our payment provider (acting as Merchant of Record) may set its own strictly necessary cookies on its checkout page to process the transaction and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by that provider's own policy, which is linked from the checkout page.
5. Managing cookies
- Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies and site storage in its privacy settings.
- Clearing Konzul's site data signs you out and removes stored preferences. Your account and learning history are unaffected.
- Blocking strictly necessary storage will stop sign-in from working, so the practice features become unavailable.
6. Changes
If we add or remove a category of cookie we will update this page and its "last updated" date. Related reading: Privacy Policy and Security.
